We want to thank Rev. Adimi & Celeste for visiting Frist Church of the Nazarene Wednesday, July 20, 2016. They oversee the Church of the Nazarene missions in Mozambique. They are also in a supervisory position over 33 Districts!
Today we presented Memorial Rolls to two of our families that have lost a loved one in this past year. In the Church of the Nazarene each Memorial Roll helps cover the cost of Missionary Health Care for missionaries, their families, and retired missionaries. Due to the high cost of medical expenses, Missionary Heath Care only begins to cover insurance costs for missionaries. Today we honored the lives of Lucille Baker and Carl Damon.
Today we took our Alabaster offering. Thank you to the children who picked up the offerings and put them into our large Alabaster Box. (Take a look at the video below to see what Alabaster offerings help the Church of the Nazarene accomplish.) Wow! We are overwhelmed with the support the church has given to this project. The children packed 18 Crisis Care Kits to be sent to the storage facility. These kits provide immediate necessities for those who have lost all of their possessions due to natural disasters.
Today we had a dedication for the 30 School Pal Packs that were brought in from the congregation. The children and youth brought them to the front where Pastor Chad had a prayer of dedication for whom ever will receive the packs.
